Sailing Instruction
When learning to sail, it is just as important to have the hands on experience as it is to know theory about what makes everything work. Once you understand the power of the wind in the curve of the sail, then a natural next step is to trim the boat and sails to gracefully move through the water. This description is simplified, since there is so much more to know and experience, however, learning the sport of sailing is so much fun, it makes learning a pleasure! Become an extension of the wind, the sails and the boat.
If you already know how to sail and wish to learn techniques that will help you in the next race, or if you would like to know what it is like to sail and command a larger boat, we may be able to provide just the training you are looking for.
Steve has many years of experience in teaching students how to sail, most recently as an instructor at Sail Salem, Salem Massachusetts. He is currently employed with Mariners Learning System as a test proctor in Newburyport, MA.
